« on: September 24, 2015, 01:10:05 AM »
O’Shea’s Crossing recreation area temporarily closed to paddle craft access from 14 September 2015

Date: 14/09/2015   - Seqwater

As a precautionary measure and in the interest of public safety, O’Shea’s Crossing recreation area at Wivenhoe Dam and the upper boundary of the lake, is temporarily closed to paddle craft access and associated activities until further notice.

Seqwater will perform water quality testing, and will re-open the site as soon as possible.

Signage has been erected on-site advising of the temporary closure.

Please note there are no increased risks to users of the land-based recreational area at O’Shea’s Crossing.

Upper Lake Wivenhoe re-opens for allowed water activities
 Date: 25/09/2015   - Seqwater

The upper reaches of Lake Wivenhoe (north of Murrumba Island) has been re-opened for the allowed water activities.

The area was closed earlier this week, however water quality testing has demononstrated that it is now appropriate to re-open the site.

Thank you for your patience during the closure. Please remember to play it safe at our lakes and parks these school holidays.
