You would assume so... They eat frogs ? No reason they wouldn't have a go at a toad

I dont know that toads are as plentiful in the water, they tend to be more an edge beastie, and on dry land a lot, so opportunistic, yes, regularly, I doubt it.
Dont hear of to many floating dead barra for unexpected reasons either, no reason to believe they would be immune from their poison.

Yes, and so do Bass. Caught them on live toads in my brothers dam.

I was told that fish and turtles aren't affected by the bufotoxin.
Certainly given that toadpoles have the toxin, you'd have to think so.

This was brought on by a conversation I had with Kurt while standing next to small dam that had small Barra in it but nothing for them to eat. When I asked what do they eat he said toads. Had always assumed that fish did not eat them as they were poisonous and have a toad proof fence to keep them out of my ponds. For the last couple of months instead of defenestrating the ones in my bucket traps have been feeding them to the Barra in a mates pond (note pond as you are not allowed to stock Barra in SEQ ;) The result being they ate every one and no dead Barra. Have also rarely seen any toad tadpoles or emerging juvie toads in this pond.

I read somewhere that barra are able to detect the poison and regurgitate the toad and the tadpoles (which are toxic as well)

No sign of any regurgitated toads, found none at all. Would think they would float up the same as the Barra would if they carked it.

i found that the toad eggs make them grow like nothing else. i have a pond with a heap (well over 200,000) of sleepies in it at 40mm and have done a better job than any barra pond i have had, not a toad tadpole found. maybe a source of another biological control of the little mongrels as they inhabit the same foreshore environment as the toads.
going back a few years ago i fished teemburra early winter and every fish we caught regurged cane toad tadpoles, heaps of them. everyone was struggling catching them, but we did a gut analysis of one that a young guy was filleting at the boat ramp and he wondered if it would be toxic due to toads.
