Wonder if they would consider something like the warning system where they send a SMS when a dam is spilling.
They now seem to be taking water quality issues seriously. Baroon Pocket use to still be open when you could just about plough it.
 Cheers

Lake Moogerah closed to all on water activity due to water quality issues (Friday, 20 October 2013)

As a precautionary measure and in the interest of public safety, Lake Moogerah has been temporarily closed to all water-based recreation activities including boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing as of Friday, 20 September 2013 due to unacceptably high levels of bacteria detected in routine testing.

Signage will be erected on site advising of the temporary closure of the lake.

Seqwater will be performing further water quality testing at Lake Moogerah, and the lake will be re-opened as soon as possible.

Seqwater appreciates that this temporary closure may disrupt plans for visits to Lake Moogerah during the school holiday period, however the temporary closure of the lake is in the interests of public safety.

Recreation facilities and the trails on land around Lake Moogerah are not affected by this temporary closure.
