Blitz Bagas
« on: October 04, 2010, 11:29:20 PM »
Here's some Blitz Baga's. Made from cedar by Murray Sudgen at Ipswich. Similar to the Flicks Cobra, the Blitz Baga gained a following among bass anglers in the early days of lake fishing. Today they remain a lure many are compared to.

The shape/name was handed over to the smak stable & are now made from eurathane or plastic, not sure. The first one I tried was close to an original in action & depth but the few others since just wouldn't swim properly & got lost; haven't replaced them.

Botton right hand one in the group picture below is a Moogerah Special.

Last pic is one still in its bag.  :thumbsup

Gee looking at the tiny amount of wood under the bibs, that would take some skill (or an awful lot of swearing and chucking in the bin!)

Have had the same experiance Fitzy, origonal lure swam well & caught fish. After loosing it in Boondooma I bought a new one & could never get it to swim properly.

Cheers Andrew

Here is a couple of Murray's very first lures he made, approx 25 years old and called a Bass Baga which I assume is where the Blitz Baga came from  :youbeauty
