Title: Mid Brisbane River
Post by: Sweetwater on December 29, 2012, 09:04:59 PM
After bailing out of a western down run along the Condamine River yesterday due to storms, we decided to do a late arvo paddle from Twin Bridges to Savages Crossing on the mid Brisbane River.
Dropping a car at Savages Crossing and driving the other back to Twin Bridges we launched about 5:30 pm, which didn't leave much time for fishing. One fished with hard bodies, the other with spinnerbaits, we didn't get so much as a touch or a follow despite some very good looking water and casts that deserved a fish. Got to about 2 meters away from a platypus at one stage, well worth the paddle in itself.

Did a quiet run last week and belted a half dozen bass in an hour, so this is a contrast to today's fishing. Haven't posted a report on that run yet, was going to put some video up of a couple of the fish.......

Never like catching wild bass on the full moon...as soon as the moon is up, it's all over red rover sometimes.

Yes it was a bit quite yesterday, but I did manage to get a 50cm Yella near the log jam.
