Title: Wyaralong Dam FULL
Post by: bunjey on January 12, 2011, 04:10:14 PM
It's been plugged but not quite finished apparently.(I think)
Located between Beaudesert(south of Brisbane) and Boonah.
I heard today that the water was over a meter deep over spillway.
Sorry bad pic.
Wall not open to public yet that I know of.
Feel free to update if it's ok, I knew at this.

Its fully completed. No one talking much about it and its not in SEQ water's dam list and no one carries the levels for it on their web sites yet.

I suppose they will get around to it!

Cant wait to try out the kayak camping trails!

I used to catch the very occaisional bass further up the creek, then celebrate with an off the tap Guiness at the dooogie, well, actually, whether I caught a fish or not actually.

Steve

apparently it has (will have?) a series of camping spots along it so you can spend a few leisurely days moving along the dam and camping at these spots each night.

Quiet possibly Binder there are a number of heavily vegitated banks but also a number or slow rolling slopping clear grassy banks wich i recon would be tops!

Dont make me laugh so hard Bunjey haha

Apparently the official opening isnt till next year ?? I new it would be a while but thats a long while... I suppose any fish stocked will need as much of a fighting chance as they can get to grow so the carp wont worry them so much, dam carp...
