Title: Lures By StevenM – Bare – RR’s Set 2
Post by: StevenM on January 09, 2013, 09:20:09 AM
Hi again

Some more nudes that I have just finished  These are from Camphor Laurel. I picked up a small piece early in December that I was able to cut these five lures out of. I don’t know about the timbers density or other properties, but it sure smells nice when you are carving it. Yet to swim these. I swim all my lures to ensure they work.

And the whole family

Hope you like them like I do. It really is a sexy timber.

Making some nice looking lures Steve.

I like the grain in camphor and the smells not bad but gets to you when its flying up your nose off the lathe.

Was that a fairly soft peice ?
