Leslie Harrison Dam Access Update
« on: April 11, 2014, 12:08:35 AM »
This was sent out by Seqwater via email today & then retracted soon after.  :?) The sender also happened to show all persons on the CC list visible for all to see.  :Oops)

Dear Stakeholder

You may be aware from recent media coverage that a number of dams across South East Queensland are to be upgraded.

Following recent assessment Leslie Harrison Dam has been identified as one of the dams to be upgraded in the next five years. Lowering of the water level to approximately 40% of current capacity will commence soon and is expected to be completed mid-year.

Yesterday I complained to SEQ water re the publishing of the email addresses .
I also note that the retraction email does not state who issued it.
First that I have heard that dam needs major works only one that i have heard of is Kurwongbah and yet that is currently going through the breview process.
 Cheers
Ray

On the radio this morning they announced that both Leslie Harrison and Kurwongbah would be dropped to 40% so that the wall can be drilled and investigated.  At least I've got a good list of people interested in recreation on Leslie Harrison to spam with my business ideas now.  Remember when the NSW Fisheries did that to all people who had paid a fee to fish in NSW?
