Maroon redclaw
« on: March 22, 2013, 08:29:33 PM »
Went for a fish at maroon today and thought I'd drop a pot for some yabies, one pot 32 redclaw . First time I have ever tried there . Is this common or just very lucky? Also got a few nice little bass on crank baits near the edges, but what about these redclaw?? And will this see an increase in size of bass in the dam ?

Super bass

Paulie, you must have been there the same time as I was, we camped overnight Thursday and Friday. I had my son with me and our preferred fishing spot up near the top end was over run with a school outing, kids everywhere. We managed a couple of good Bass (See pic in gallery)  as well as some spectcular missed strikes, and my son hooked a Spangled Perch about 20-25cm. Did not have a redclaw net this time but will take one on the next visit.
Cheers,
JD
