back creek bass
« on: October 18, 2010, 04:41:00 PM »
Just a bit of a fishing session with my brother after work, The first spot that usually shows results was very quiet without a bump so we tried an old spot that used to produce some great bass for such a small creek.

The photo's are the results but they made us work for them thats for sure !
Packrats seemed to be the only lures getting a response in green and purple and sorry about the dirt on my brothers bass, it was the biggest in the high 20's id say

Cheers

Steve

Nice little creek Steve. There's nothing like going snake stompin thru the scrub, makes you feel like you've earned the fish.  :youbeauty

Did you fish topwater at all? Looks good water for it....

Indeed about the snakes but we avoided them only to run into a goanna the 3rd ive seen this month  !
No we didnt fish topwater today but in the past we have caught more bass on small poppars than anything, jitterbugs get them going but they just seem to be a bit iffy about black i may have to get a few lighter ones.
Top spot for the old tandanus aswell and i will post pics of a few bass i got in the same spot this time last year.

Also this spot is suprisingly easy to get to but im not going to give this spot up that easy  :walkplank
