Title: O'sheas Crossing Lake Wivenhoe

Lake Wivenhoe since the flood now resembles tidal mudflats of the kind you get in an estuary . Visited O'sheas Crossing today and tried to get up to the crossing at Gregors Creek road . The bridge at Gregors Creek is goooone  ! so is some of the road leading up to it .

Thanks for that report. A lot of people are not aware of how much water was flowing into the dam. Could you drive from O'shea's to BVH through Cooeeimbardi? Did you have a look at any other crossings (scrub creek road)? Thanks

I didn't check out the Scrub road crossing or the Fulham road crossing either. The road between Esk and Somerset dam was closed in one section , and the Wivenhoe -Somerset rd was closed to all but local traffic . Lots of washouts , sections of subsidence , plus every creek crossing or section of road near the dam showed the brown stains of inundation .

I really can not believe the colour of the water in Wivenhoe now . How long did the dam take to settle down back in 99' after that year's flood?

Thanks. State of the roads will be bad for a while. Just had another 70mm in less than an hour. That can't help current state of affairs. I can't remember how long the dam took to settle after flood.
