Donuts on special in the border rivers
« on: July 10, 2016, 10:11:23 AM »
Arriving to a still flooded Dumaresq River on Friday night at Texas (even though BOM river levels graph showed the river at normal height after a small flood early in the week), we drove further upstream to see if the river was fishable above the Dumaresq's confluence with the Beardy River.  The Dumaresq there too was running hard making fishing difficult. Camped the night and formulated a planB.

PlanB was to go over to Inglewood and try the Macintyre Brook. The Brook was the opposite of the Dumaresq, very little flow and hasn't had a flush for quite some time. We launched very close to town in a heavy fog, surprising as it was 10am. We pulled the pin after a couple of hours of not a single bump or follow. Anyway, here's some pictures from Macintyre Brook.

Cheers,
Dave.

Gorgeous pics, shame about the fish, but that's fishing hey mate. Still better than mowing grass & washing laundry....
