G'day Folks,
Given the River Bass season is now upon us I thought I would ask a quick question.
What will be the go to lure of choice for those fortunate enough to get a flick in tomorrow?
For me it will be a Topwater Buzz Frog first up followed by the rest of the tackle box as the sun gets higher.
Hope everyone gets a chance to get out there tomorrow! Good Luck!!
Regards

Spinner bait first up, blades and maybe a hardbody later on.

In my river I'd throw a Spinnerbait, 3/8oz Tandem blades (Chrome and Gold), Boney Bream colour. If that didn't work (But it would) I'd change to another Spinnerbait and continue to fish them all day. As the sun set I'd change to a Rio's popper.

Thanks Steve and Aussie!
Spinnerbaits are probably my favourite way to fish closely followed by Hardbodies! Hope you get a chance to be amongst some today!
:thanks

I'm hoping to head out in a few hours, I've got a gold Sebile Flat Shad tied on the baitcaster now so that will get a good swim. It performed well before the season closed. As the light disappears a shallow diving crank will go on perhaps an Ecogear CK50. Not sure if I'll go a top water lure just yet. I'll play it by ear.
Nice little frog mate !!!

Thanks LGM!
I am fixing to head out for round 2 after some success this morning! I think the little frog is going to get a work out this afternoon. Good Luck! Those Sebiles have been doing some damage in the lakes recently.

G'day all,
Managed a couple more mid 30's this morning!! They are loving the SP's in natural colours and small hardbodies!!

Nothing to brag about!
One of the models caught on a Beetle Spun soft plastic!
A quick pic and released to become a unicorn ;D

Did not have to walk far for that one ;) thought it would be like queen st there today.

Elops!
Nope! Not too far at all ::)! Picked that one up first cast!! The quality was a little better today, shame the wind picked up!
I think alot of people dismiss that spot for some reason or another, I can't say I will complain about that though.

Give you a tip for the bigger Bass in that area, 4 inch or bigger shallow diving suspenders rip and pause or unweighted paddle tails, look for the mullet :thumbsup
-
Thanks!
Will definately give that a go! Got toweled up by something the other day on a small crankbait so will upgrade the size a little! After the convention it's time to invest in a Yak for some more exploration, having said that I don't think I need to explore to much with 7 fish from 2 trips ;) Nothing like the folks are getting from below Wivy but fish all the same!
Thanks
Colin

Ditto Wes. I love the timber stuff. There's some Aussie made timber lures out there that are just awesome.
