Title: Fishing Rod Display Rack (First attempt)
Post by: Freshwater Newby77 on May 24, 2014, 09:44:25 AM
Gidday all.Finding myself with plenty of free time, but little money,I decided to use materials sourced from an old bookcase,to make the young fella and I a rod holder/display rack.I gestimated the measurements from pics on eBay of plastic ones.Mine is made from black laminated chipboard, that used to be a bookcase.(Hopefully the Mrs didn't want it.lol) I bought the decals off eBay for $5.
I reckon its pretty good,& might start making one a week from ply or MDF,& painted if anyone is keen.
Hope you like it guys. :-)

Thanks buddy. That was the plan.lol.I'm a trade boatbuilder since 1987 so I'd be disgusted in myself if i didnt do a decent job.:-)
I'm on disability pension these days and can only do 30 mins every three days on stuff like this but it stops me going crazy.(Some would say too late)

Wow,thanks very much Fitzy.I might do that.I'm not planning on putting much profit on them.Just the satisfaction of others wanting/enjoying them.
With the acquisition of a rotary tool, I am also toying with the idea of custom "carving/engraving" of customers choice,be it their names,a funny comment or a carved shape of their favorite fish.
Once I do some pricing of materials i will put them in classifieds.
Many thanks mate.
                                   Kind regards,
                                                            Marty.
