There'd be some natural snags like that in some fishing lakes in this country, probably with the same number of lures attached. There was this one tree in Awoonga that was like that. I know many anglers left lures there, I did also. I was gearing myself up to dive it, only ten ft down to the top ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then along came flood number 243638648909. They'll still be there. Every know and then one must rust through the links, float to the top and end up on shoreline X. It'd be a funny sight I'd reckon, but not as pretty as that one of yours Dale.
NG Bass will make one from your collection soon. ha ha.

There's a tree just off Dingo Island on a kink in the river we call Chinaman's Bend that has collected a lot of lures over the time I've been going to Awoonga.  My brothers named the spot because they were fishing there one day and saw a Chinese guy dive out of the back of his boat and grab his fishing rod.  He got it back and was trying to fight a Barra while treading water, and he hadn't knocked his boat out of gear.  They got his boat back and helped him land his fish.

My best retrieve was off a rope at Hinze.  There was a rope holding the rowing buoys in line and it went all the way to the shore.  I snagged up on it, and dropped the lure retriever down and it lifted the rope to the surface.  Got my lure back and noticed another one further along.  I followed it to the bank and scored 15 lures off it.
