Qld's new lakes access - Will labor roll it back?

One legacy from the previous LNP state govt in Qld was the openning up of, or improved access to many lakes/ dams in SE Qld. 

Prior to this move by LNP, any discussions with various departments / politicians was met with a similar response, NOT A CHANCE.

So I'm left wondering if the historic swing to the Reds will see a roll back to the previous policies of Anna Bligh / Peter Beattie regarding these recreation opportunities?

Where does this leave those lakes / dams that have consultation / works still in progress? Eg All over red rover....

I'm sure the ALP will immediately reinstate the Recreational Fishing Enhancement Program, so the SIP review can be thrown out.

With Jim Madden being elected I hope he looks after Fernvale and helps get the grant through so Billies Bay can be reopened.

 Who can I send letter to about opening up that access point at wivenhoe. The one where you keep going straight instead of turning left to logans inlet. That area has some prime fishing . Standing timber in water looks good for lure fishing.

Labor candidates for redlands and capalaba were very keen to fasttrack review of leslie harrison so above sounds like bs to me.
But MR very quiet on the subject in local papers.
 Anyhow are not results still undecided.

I'd like to see the Brisbane Valley Rail trail completed as it has great potential for bringing more tourists to the region.

I'm sure the ALP will immediately reinstate the Recreational Fishing Enhancement Program, so the SIP review can be thrown out.

There are waters that the sip will not cover so reinstatement of the RFEP will be a boon to those stocking groups and local communities.
The only other solution would be to introduce a fishing license scheme and get rid of the sip and I think that there would be widespread resistance to that

A bit  , but I'd prefer to see the rail line put back in. Virtually zero public transport in the Brisbane valley and everyone has to use that poor excuse for a road to get back to the warrego hwy. So bad that they had to drop the speed limit down to 80km/hr. 

Imagine the potential if an electrified heavy rail link went all the way back to Moore! Other than the odd weekend runner, I've never seen anyone use the rail trail except for the graziers to run their cattle on.

Try to access the rail trail in some locations and you run the risk of being shot at. Agree that sections of it have been claimed by adjoining land owners as their own, barbed wire and locked gates across the trail are common on sections I've looked at. A shame it's been hijacked......

Funny I've ridden ( mountain bike ) 95% of the open sections and surrounding areas and never had an issue. 
The locals I've come across are all supportive and friendly.
( do get a few funny looks when they ask where I'm going to or coming from )

The potential to safely hike, bike or horse ride from Ipswich to Nanango is so close to reality.

Empahisis on the "OPEN" sections, how far west of have you ridden your treddley on the trail?  I was talking about sections that are still parts of the rail trail (info source from DNRM mapping) that are not open, but are still "supposed" to be publicly accessible. There's alot of potential for recreational kayaking / fishing etc.  Will be great if one day the whole trail is opened.

So what dams really got opened up, Enogera is the only one I can think of -  expanded access at Kurwongbah, changed rules at Wivanhoe - cant think of any others where any of the promises to open up were actually kept. (just interested in the full list)
