Lake Atkinson closed due to water quality issues 
Date:  24/10/2014    - Seqwater

Lake Atkinson will be temporarily closed from 6:00am on Saturday25 October to all water-based recreation activities due to the presence of blue-green algae.

This includes activities such as swimming, water-skiing, boating, kayaking, canoeing and sailing.

Off-water recreation activitites are not affected by the closure.

Please observe any signage and follow the direction of Seqwater staff.

We will continue to perform water quality testing at the lake, and the lake will be re-opened when it is safe to do so.
