Title: Hinze Western ARM 4/6/12.
Post by: rayke1938 on June 04, 2012, 04:24:22 PM
Had originally planned on going to Baroon Pocket but due to high dam level over the spillway we headed off in the opposite direction.
We have not been to hinze for several months so we were uncertain what we would encounter.
What a difference . Nice short walk from the ramp to the car park and all the large gibbers on the left hand side of the ramp now covered with small gravel.
Ians island is now just a clump of tree tops poking up out of the water.

This is the edge of the drop off that we used to fish.

Had to do a bit of searching to find fish but ended up with a reasonable day before the westerly hammered in around 10am.
Caught on a mixture of trollong 10 ft divers and live shrimp.

Biggest went 42 with only a couple that would have been under 30.
Looks like the eastern arm will be in the agenda next week.
 Cheers
