WARWICK REGION FISHING REPORT 31 October 2013

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been fishing quite well over the past week.  Anglers have reported landing some nice fish on both lures and bait.  One local angler picked up some nice fish on Power Bombs and Jackalls, while another managed some nice fish on blades.  We also had reports of some nice fish being landed while trolling in the deeper water using deep diving lures.  The bait fisherman also had success, mainly on salt water yabbies and shrimp.  There were also a few undersized Murray Cod landed over the weekend.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is still fishing well, with local anglers reporting of some nice catches on lures and bait. They reported that silent lures seemed to be working the best as well as mask vibes.  Salt water yabbies and shrimps also accounted for some nice fish.

MOOGERAH/MAROON DAM:  Moogerah is fishing quite well, particularly in the early morning and late afternoon.  There has been a few legal sized Bass landed in the main basin just off the bank near the camping boat ramp on live shrimps.  Lure anglers are having the most success in the western part of the dam on a variety of lures.  Anglers trolling along the timbered edge are also having success.

RIVERS/CREEKS: Anglers are reporting if some nice fish being landed in various parts of the Condamine River in the town reaches.  One local angler reported of landed 7 nice Golden Perch and 3 small Murray Cod upstream of the Mill Hole on bait.
Another local angler landed a lovely 12 pound Murray Cod to the east of Warwick while casting a red and black spinnerbait.
