Let's hope fisheries work their way through the mountain of Mary river Cod evidence on social media.

Fisheries are copping a flogging for this on their FB page and on our sister (rust water) site.  Sad that people would support these guys purposely targeting a protected fish.  There is the classic example from the Gold Coast paper that Fitz posted recently for Fisheries to pursue a Mary River Cod offence.

brett.depper@daff.qld.gov.au would be the email address I'd use to report something via email.  The phone number is 1800 017 116 to report any illegal fishing activity.  The Nerang River cod photo has been sent to them I believe.  There is not as much evidence for this one as there was for the Groper incident though.  The videos and photos posted on social media were quite incriminating.
