Retired Bass Lure
« on: November 25, 2012, 09:34:35 AM »
My favorite home made bass lure was starting to get a bit worn out and this sounds a bit nuts but I really didn't want to lose it. I have caught 16 bass from the Bremer on it and one of them was my pb of 45cm (FL). So I have decided to retire it to the study and to make sure it stands out I have written its achievements on it. My wife is looking at me like somebody who has lost his mind and should be put in a home. Am I being a bit nuts or does anybody else think it is a good way to see a favorite lure retired ;D

Nothing wrong with that, I've got a lure hanging from my keyring that I picked up 20 bass and a few randoms in a session and 40 odd bass all up in less than 5 sessions so it got retired. I have another lure that is now hot on it's heels but I'll wait until that one is really beaten up before retiring it  :))

I havent retired it yet, but my favourite purple predatek is turning white from loss of paint. It has accounted for cod, flatties, yellow and about 50 or more bass. If I don't lose it, it will certainly hold a special place in my house!

After catching my first Murray and Mary River Cod on the same spinnerbait I retired it. Luckily I found the exact same model not long ago so grabbed it while I could as a replacement. Plan on getting it framed with a pic of each Cod so the memories last.
