Warwick region fishing report 24 June 2104

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been fishing fairly consistently over the past few weekl.  There have been some nice fish caught, particularly some lovely Murray Cod.  There were a few quality Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies near the concrete boat ramps as well as opposite the dam wall.  Anglers also reported on landing some legal sized Golden Perch while trolling the bank near "Cod Alley".

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is still fishing quite well with anglers reporting of a few fish being landed from kayaks as well as in the more sheltered spots along the dam edge.  There were some legal sized Golden and Silver Perch landed over the weekend, mainly on bait.  Worms and Saltwater yabbies have been working the best for the bait anglers, with spinnerbaits proving once again to be very popular for the lure anglers.

MOOGERAH DAM: Moogerah is still fishing well with anglers having reasonable success in the timber towards the back of the dam.  Blades, plastics and Jackall Mask Vibes are working the best at present.  Anglers fishing at Maroon are having success along the southern bank.  There were several Bass landed on live shrimp and soft plastics along the edge of the weed banks.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creeks continue to fish well, with anglers reporting on some nice fish.
There were 3 legal sized Murray Cod landed in the Condamine River to the east and west of Warwick, with the biggest being landed in the Killarney area.  All of these fish were landed on hard body lures.
Anglers also had success just below Scots Weir and the Mill Hole on bait.  JMH Spinnerbaits also accounted for some nice Golden Perch in the Dalrymple Creek to the west of Allora.
