Lowering of Euston Weir pool
12 June 2013 - MDBA

Euston Weir will be temporarily lowered from Friday 14 June so essential maintenance work can be done on the navigable pass.

River pumpers, boat operators and other river users are advised to take changing water levels into account.

The level immediately upstream of the weir will be initially lowered by around 0.8m below the full supply level by Friday 21 June.

Over the following weeks, the pool level will vary depending on flows, but is expected to remain within one metre of the full supply level.

The lowering of the weir will not lead to a significant rise in downstream levels. It is expected the level of the weir will be returned to the normal operating range by the end of July.
