Overcast days productive at Four Springs

Mild temperatures and overcast days have provided ideal conditions for Four Springs regulars. Wade, kayak and boat based anglers have enjoyed success with bait lure and fly. Patterns including corixidae (water boatmen), duns, and spinners have tempted solid browns up to 2kg. Chunky rainbows averaging 1kg have been taken on shallow running hard body lures and bait fishers using power bait and natural mud eyes have landed a number of browns despite emergent weed in many parts of the Lake. Anglers risk breakoffs in the weed if fishing too light
