Some days are diamonds
« on: April 27, 2012, 09:41:14 PM »
I'm doing a lot of weed survey work atm (that's when I'm not killing them).  Today I got up into a mountain range following a major creek.  I stopped at one of the number of waterholes along its length and waded in for a photo. Whilst the chance of a saltie was slim at best I'd thought I might spy a freshie or a fish, even a barra.

I wasn’t long in knee deep water when the locals came around for a bo-peep.  I'd kick up a bit of mud and they'd get a bit excited swimming around my legs.  I threw in a couple of spiders and immediately I had friends for life.  Next trick was to rattle the water with my fingers and got a couple of nips for my troubles.

All that was left was to share a bit of lunch with them before being on my way.

As for the weed count, in a place like that you'd expect it to be a bit unspoilt, wasn't dissapointed

Great office you have there Dick. Id be a bit careful though, there's clearly stirrings of interest in your patch. Could be an imminent invasion of Sweetwater mob. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
John
