Big water for Cod in SEQ with camping
« on: April 09, 2017, 09:01:25 PM »
Hi,
I'm looking for somewhere we can travel too and target large cod, catch and release out of tinnies with camping close by ish.
Happy to pay if private property.
Also willing to travel to NNSW.
Where we fish here on the downs in the Condamine the water is usually quite shallow and dirty, not suited so much for casting and trolling lures.
Not really interested in bait fishing like all the meato's.
Thx in advance.

Copeton Dam and Glenlyon Dam are two iconic Murray Cod fisheries.  Both allow camping very close to the water.  You could also try Coolmunda, out near Inglewood.

Thanks for the reply mate.
We would prefer to stick with the rivers for now, but Copeton is on the wish list.
