the elusive mega fish

so were out at twin bridges got a medium turtle . just aroud the corner there is a small area with lots of stucture seen something huge 1 metre eel or lung fish  had all bread in the water lots of small fish feeding on the surface .tryed squid on hook with float even run lure stright over the top yof him .this fish was just cruzing around slowley in the shallows . couldnt get it intrested i thing he was after the live fish feeding there. next time ill try differnt baits

is there any chance it could have been a barimundi . if they have them in wivenhoe could there be some in brisbane river?

Unlikely it was a barramundi. Was probably a Qld Lungfish.

yes the lung fish , is a dinosuar fish and proteced , ur not allowed to bring them out of water ,  its amazing how some spieces have not changed much over thousands of years ,
