Title: Lake Baroon Boat ramp closed
Post by: Editor on January 18, 2013, 01:03:04 AM
SEQWater advises that the Lake Baroon northern boat ramp has been closed due to falling water levels (Monday, 7 January)

"Due to falling water levels, the northern boat ramp at Lake Baroon will be closed until further notice.

Signage is in place to notify the boating public.

The boat ramp will remain closed until rainfall sufficiently raises the water level."

Northern Ramp would be Montville.
Dang, I was going to go for a run up there to see if the Montville end was still in the water!
Might go for a look anyway, gotta waste fuel getting Calum's driving hours up, may as well burn it going up for a sticky beak.

I thought it may have been montville but fitzys location map doesnt show north.
The ramp at the Maleny end also ends in the mud so may not have much life left in it.
Cheers

Yeah, I've pulled my pots and mothballed the boat. No fishing from the boat until it rains.
Kids will just have to put up with lures from the yaks only until then.

Strange isn't we were fishing from Baroon when Samsonvale was only a puddle and the water never got this low up there.
