That white ute was me. Good to see the lock removed. By whom I have no idea.
As to the fishing - very slow. I got two forkies and dropped something else - prob another forkie. There were two guys packing up when I got there who fished from very early. They also fared poorly. Water is nice and clean though. Still some water lettuce hanging around but not a lot.

Fished the top of the river really early before the heat kicked in and got two bass and two catties - one stole my favourite lure!!!

What is with the hundreds of water gannets in the trees?????????????? they stink!!!!! I launched at Heartbreak hill.......

They would be cormorants (not gannets) and bass fishing can be very productive under the roosting trees. Many bird droppings attract baitfish which attract predators...
