The cold snap has finally hit and the fish have taken a few days to settle but now it has the fishing has really picked up.
Big yellowbelly are being caught on a regular basis and the winter bass action has started. Boondooma is one special dam when it comes to fishing all year round techniques change but catching big fish happens all year round. We have had a lot of people fishing pelican point this week landing plenty of fish. It wont be long until we can see lots of big schools in strike zone for the deep diving hard bodies. Don’t be scared of fishing deep water with spinnerbaits or vibes as this has worked for the past week. The redclaw have slowed a little but they will also be found in deep water now its colder.
