Title: Qld SIP Fees to rise again???
Post by: Sweetwater on June 30, 2012, 12:19:48 AM
I've got it on good authority that Admiral General Campbell Newman is going to increase all Qld fees & licences by 3% even though the CPI at end of March quarter was 1.3%

All, means that the Stocked Impoundment Permit (SIP) will probably get included with the rest, so expect to pay around $1 more for your next SIP annual permit after July 2012.

The upside is that the SIP doesn't go to treasury dept coffers, it goes back into fish restocking so that should mean 3% more fish in the water; a silver lining to the Qld cloud....

He'll probably match it with a reduction in the recreational fishing grants for non SIP waters to keep the loot in his pocket  :(

Lost a contractor at work yesterday who was the best worker I've ever had. Not to happy about that (Mind you I'm happy about losing the other one who was nothing but an  oxygen thief).

I reckon the RFEP funding is a pretty big chance of getting the flick as well.
