THOMSON AND BARCOO RIVERS - Flood Warning

FLOOD WARNING FOR THE THOMSON AND BARCOO RIVERS
Issued at 10:33 AM on Sunday the 3rd of October 2010  by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

 
Minor flood levels continue to rise in the Thomson River at Longreach with a minor flood peak expected overnight Sunday. Minor flooding is being recorded on the lower Barcoo River between Isisford and Oma.
 
Minor flooding is easing on the Thomson River in the Camoola Park area, whilst downstream at Longreach minor flooding continues to rise. At 9am Sunday the river level at Longreach Auto was 3.71 metres and rising.

Minor flooding is occurring on the lower Barcoo River between Isisford and Oma, with river rises occurring further downstream through to Retreat.
Some minor flooding is expected during this week in the Retreat area as upstream floodwaters arrive.

Thomson River at:

Longreach             Minor flood peak to about 3.8 metres overnight Sunday.

The next warning will be issued at about 10am Monday.
