looking for a sweet water fishing spot

good morning
we are looking for a good spot were can take wive and kids , land based fishing preferibly with shade cover and walking distance from road , my wife got a new fishing rod yesterday rated 4-8kg so shes looking to catch a big fish test it out , yesterday she got her first grunter at logans inlet , some one mentioned there was an access point further north west from logans , but i forgot the name , basicaly were looking for any sweet water river or lake that , big fish have been caught latley.

may got that grunter on a barra pellet hahahaha , its a  round pellet with fish oil.

We got all the way out to manchester . And there a locked gate athorised acess only  but there a sign that has pictuture of hiker and arrow towards the dam . so i called  seq and asked if im allowed to go fishing in fhere they siad no ..
On the way out near gate at road i think seen sign no fishing.

we made it out to kholo on the top side near bridge got heaps of grunters , ,  tryed lures for a while , best to  in morning next time ,

looking at lake moogerah , we might head out that way latter , ive changed my set up to single hook on heavey rod , and lures on light rod.

hey joey a real good place is oxely creek for bait fishing near bunnings there could be some good fish, use corn kernnels.

so we ended up at moogerah , tryed lures in dam and creeck below didn t get any action there , just had one 15 cm silver fish on a hand line , used cod worms , would a bass take a live worm? because when i got back from lure fishing , the hand line was snaged around a log under water near bank , and i went out to get it seen a silver fish come of end off line under water , same shape as bass , but not sure .

i seen on the sign barramundi , would be awsome to catch one in natural enviroment , last time i had a barra on line was at suncoast barra ,

good morning , im thinking about trying for bass in mihi creek , i know 2 acess points near my friends house , one across the road from mihi sports bar , and one near park below housing estate , has any one every got bass in that section of water?
