Fishing Report

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam anglers are reporting on things being a little slower.  There were a few quality fish caught over the weekend on bait, with saltwater yabbies being the most successful.  One angler managed to land 6 legal sized Golden Perch on Saturday afternoon up near the "Black Boys" on saltwater yabbies.  The lure anglers did it a little tougher, with reports of of a few fish being landed on blades.  One angler reported on landing a lovely 10kg Murray Cod on a Predatek up near the dam wall.  A local angler managed to land 3 Golden Perch while trolling a Kezza Mud Mouse in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM:  Anglers fishing Connolly Dam managed to pick up a few nice fish over the weekend.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed off the bank on worms and saltwater yabbies.  One local angler also had success while casting spinnerbaits off the edges.

LAKE MOOGERAH / LAKE MAROON: Maroon anglers had success over the weekend, with beetle spins and soft plastics proving to be The most successful.  There were good numbers of Bass along the southern bank just off the weed edges.  Anglers also had success while using spinnerbaits.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local river systems have been a little quiet over the past week.  The bait fisherman seem to be landing a few fish, with a local Freestone angler having success while using worms.  There were a couple of nice Golden Perch landed in the Mill Hole on worms.  Anglers fishing to the east of Warwick seemed to have the most success, particularly around Murrays Bridge.

I guess it's a lot colder in Warwick than it is in Brisbane this week.
