Title: Keel Guard installation
Post by: Novice on June 06, 2012, 06:38:51 PM
WayneD came around the other night with some keel guard that he had purchased from a reputable kayak dealer down on the goldy.
He had enough for installation on his yak and my Tarpon100 ( about a metre). Basically it goes on like a sticker and is worked into position and around the curves with a heat gun. Best results are when its left to sit for at least 48hours. The pictures below tell the story.

Cheers,
Dave.

A good idea. A great way to extend the life of a kayak.....  :youbeauty

It will get a test out this weekend and I'll let you all know how it holds up. Not sure if it's designed to take as much punishment as we deal out  ;D
