Hey mate i fished there a couple weekends ago and sure it was busy at the ramp at kirkleigh but not bad. Maybe had to wait a few minutes each time. I set off from the western side of kirkleigh. I fished up around pelican pint. Mate and i caught around 30 bass. Nothing massive. Biggest went 43cm. Was good schools holding out from pelican point in 20 to 30 feet/ Was good schools holding on the hump also. Never went up in the timber.
Best of luck

Thanks so much for the helpfull information jordo. I would like to see if one of my boys can catch a yellow belly. I will have my hands full with the three of them. What times did you fish up there the other week jordo?   I will let you know how we go.  Thanks Shane

Shane we fished late arvo sat and that was the best fishing and then we fished from about 5 in morning till lunch sunday. The best fishing then was once the sun had got up a bit. Fished were very scattered early morning and once it started to warm up they schooled up a little. I never got any yellas unfotunately. Trip before that in same areas i did get a couple. Next time i would like to go up in timber and throw some lures around. Love to hear how ya go. Best of luck with the kids. I take my nephews who are 3 and 7 i think and its pretty hard. Thats the day i leave better rods at home! lol
