Hi Adam,

The nearest accomodation is the Fernvale Hotel / Motel. I think this might be booked out already....but call them to make sure.

Next closest is the Club Hotel / Motel a few km away at Lowood. Spoke the the publican last night & there are rooms available there.

There is contact info for both of these on the Lure Expo website www.lureshow.com.au
Specifically on this page http://lureshow.com.au/information.htm

After that the next closest is the motels at Esk. I don't have details for these handy but do a google search & you will find them, I think there's four motels plus a couple of pubs and a caravan park in Esk.

Hope to see you there.....

Cheers,

Fitzy..

You can also camp right at the Expo if you want to rough it a bit.  Maybe hire a Campervan and set-up at the site.  It's a 5 minute walk to the pub and a 15 crawl back, there's a bakery a good fish and chip shop and we've just hit the 21st century, Subway opened in Fernvale last week.

You mean I have been eating average pies and there is a fish and chippery in town?

A Vietnamese guy has a fish and chip and chicken shop near Woolworths, next door to the new Subway.  There's also the old Newsagent up towards the butcher that does a pretty good burger.  There is now a hippy coffee shop that does palm reading etc. near the old IGA.  We're bloody cosmopolitan I tell ya!  A plethora of choices abound in Fernvale.  Best meal in town is the Chicken parma at the old Pub for about 16 bucks.  The new Pub has new owners since Fitzy's mate left but I haven't tried it yet.

thanks guys for the replies :youbeauty
I'll be coming from SA so probably won't rough it aussie :( though I don't mind to rough it a bit when it counts. limited baggage.
whats the go with swapping/buying lures from fellow collectors or ppl just wanting some coin for there old lures, do they just rock up anytime during the weekend as I'm not sure if I'll be there both days..I believe there will be a stall for this kind of thing.
  cheers
