The latest water quality test results indicate the lake should remain temporarily closed to water-skiing.

Public safety is our priority so we will continue to undertake water quality testing at Lake Borumba, and will re-open the lake for water-skiing as soon as possible.

We consider National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) guidelines and the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection blue-green algae guidelines in determining whether to restrict water-based activities when tests shows algae levels are high. For information, please see our  blue-green algae fact sheet.
