Maroon Dam
« on: May 06, 2012, 05:00:36 PM »
just though i would put up a quick report about maroon as the abt bass electric was fished there today
36 boats fished all over the dam and a number of legal fish were weighed most fishos reported a lot of small undersize fish being caught

there was the element of all the ski boats there to shut the fishing down quickly

hope this helps anyone thinking of fishing it on monday

cheers Daz

Did you fish it? How did you go?

Ski boat drivers are czazy sometimes, little consideration for other users with their big wake, big noise & they're often slow pokes at the ramp taking forever to float the boat on while holding everyone else up. Wake boats should be banned period.

Get in the timber, they can't go there without scraping off the skier. Seriously though there needs to be a ski boat only area on all the dams.

Yep for sure JD. The ski boat area for Maroon should be at the same place for Somerset & Moogerah; around Peel Island....

Marroon is a bit of a tricky spot unless your way up where in the timbe in the creek some idiot still manages to find you... i think kayaks have a massive magnet specificly for skii boats and jetskii W!@KS.

Mind you ive caught double figures of bass while the waters churned up... go figure..
