WARWICK REGION FISHING REPORT 8 OCTOBER 2013

LESLIE DAM
Leslie Dam was very busy over the past week, with the long weekend bring the school holidays to a close.  There were some nice fish landed on both lures and bait.  We had reports of some nice Golden Perch landed on salt water yabbies up near the wall.  There were also some nice Golden Perch landed on Blades in approximately 10 metres of water.  There was a report of a good sized Golden Perch landed off the bank near the Washpool on Saturday morning.

CONNOLLY DAM
Connolly Dam is still fishing reasonably well.  We had reports of a kayak based angler having good success while casting lures over the weekend.

MOOGERAH / MAROON DAM
Moogerah was extremely busy with boating traffic over the past week or so, mainly due to it being closed for just over a week and the school holidays and long weekend.  There were some nice Bass landed early in the morning along the edges of the western bank beyond the timber.  The fish seemed to move into the timber mid morning.  The fish were falling to soft vibes, blades and Jackalls.  Don't forget the Maroon Bluefin Fishing Classic being held over the weekend of November 15-17.  Some great prizes are on offer.  Brochures are available in store

STORM KING DAM
Storm King Dam is also producing some nice fish with reports of good quality Golden Perch being landed on worms and crays.

RIVERS/CREEKS: One angler managed to land two legal sized Murray Cod in the Condamine River at Pratten.  One was landed on a spinnerbait, with the other on a cray.
We had reports of some nice Golden Perch landed near Scots Weir on purple, black and orange spinnerbaits.
