Prepare livestock and pets to face Cyclone Yasi
           


Biosecurity Queensland is urging livestock and pet owners in North and Central Queensland to review their contingency plans as Cyclone Yasi moves closer to the coast.

One of the little side issues from the flooding around Brisbane las month was the fact most of the flood evacuation centres either had no capacity, or very little capacity for pets. Old folk are very attached to their pets, and it was noted that many of them were reluctant to move to safety because they didn't want to leave Rover or Tiddles behind.

Something for the grand poobahs to consider for their post flood roundup.
