National Weather News

Victoria is facing its first day of dangerous bushfire conditions this season.
Southern Queensland is in the grip of hot and dry conditions, prompting fears for significant bushfires over the weekend.
Records are predicted to fall and total fire bans are in place across half of New South Wales as an unseasonal heatwave takes hold.
The east coast of Australia is facing a spring heatwave this weekend, with temperatures expected to soar past 40 degrees Celsius in some areas of the country.
While temperatures are already soaring into the high 20's over Illawarra, the mercury is struggling in the low 20's across Sydney this morning.
The accuracy of the current official figure of 66 per cent of Queensland being declared as in drought is being challenged.
