Dropped the tinnie in at the gravel ramp and headed upstream yesterday arvo. Landed one about 45 just up from Beavers' on a white spinnerbait, and turned around and went home. Old mate fishing off the bank told me about one around 60cm taken by a yakker on Saturday at the first snag up from the bridge. I'm always a day late.

Dropped my tinnie in there on Saturday arvo with my young fellow & one off his mates, son got a 48cm Bass on a white spinnerbait, his mate got a 54 cm Bass on a yellow & orange spinnerbait. Young mate was stoked, first lure caught fish & first Bass. :youbeauty
Put the kayak in on Sunday behind Lowood & paddled up to the log jam, ended up with five for the afternoon, but all alot smaller than Saturday.
Cheers Andrew

I've found the Lowood to the Log Jam stretch fairly barren compared to Lowood to Twin Bridges. It's a pretty easy stretch to paddle upstream from the bridge too.

I've heard of good numbers of bass to 55 upstream of Twin Bridges. If blokes in tinnie can nail them, stealthy kayakers should do better than that. :youbeauty
