Title: It cleared up just enough
Post by: LilDave on April 13, 2013, 12:35:42 PM
Another quick one...

I upsized my poppers this morning ...  not too much, but just enough...  It started in ernest, but unfortunately I didn't manage a pic of the first of the jps...  I ended up with two of those, and missed a couple too...

Took a detour on the way home to a little spot I haven't visited in some time

....  Nearly managed number 3...  But the vermin (read tilapia) was less picky.

And while small...  The little jack nearly did me!  I had cast downstream parallel to the bank, he screamed out and took me straight back into the timber and rocks...  5 minutes later and I had him to hand.

It was good to see the water levels up :D

Got out yesterday for the JP's as well. Fished a tiny creek as most of the others were just not wadeable. Wasn't bad. Few sooties and half a dozen JP's to 35cm. Given most of the water ws belting through we were casting to pockets of water only a meter or two across. Fantastic stuff.
