Title: Duck Pond
Post by: Paul Dolan on July 07, 2013, 04:00:58 PM
Had a fish with a mate at the Duck Pond aka Lake Gregory got the best bass on Husky Jerks around lily's and weed beds as well as blades, rattling bibless not jackalls  ;),and a couple on deep fly, lost a few good fish on the deep fly as well :'(.
The Husky Jerks are deadly around the weeds when twitched and paused and one of my favorite lures in there for edge fishing, the weed is dieing off and it's looking good for an early spring assault on topwater around the lilly's while the weed is thin and some good clean water available to fish.

Great lil lake the Duck pond  :youbeauty

Great work PD, thanks for the report. Husky Jerks were one of my long time favourite small lake bass lures.

Do you do charters on Lake Gregory?

Thanks Takrat, yeh a year without consistent rain and wind would be nice

Yeh Fitz great lures for around Lily's and weed bed bass fishin especially the pond because of the gar they are a near perfect imitation of them.

Yeh  I take the odd charter up there if the angler wants bass, winter is a great time of year to fish it if the conditions are right, as you know it's a very open lil dam and the wind can be a pain if it's strong.
