Please remember that if there are Mary River Cod in there, they are totally protected.  It is illegal to target them.

You will find that if the cod are in a stocked impondment this does not apply

You will find that they are currently protected in Lake Manchester.  They are also subject to closed season in the lakes where they are stocked as part of the Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme, Lake Manchester is not a part of that scheme.

There are currently no cod in Manchester except for the fingerlings just released.  They are going to add this place onto the stocked impoundment scheme so the fishing for cod in years to come will be happening.  Check out lake manchester topics on the net if you need further info

It has been proposed for a few years time along with enoggera dam once the fish have grown apparently
