« on: May 28, 2014, 05:44:33 PM »
Seqwater is undertaking a Recreation Review to explore the recreational opportunities in and around its lakes.

The recreation review discussion paper and online survey for Hinze Dam were released today. The discussion paper details any current activities permitted, past feedback received and any constraints associated with the dam. Visit www.yourseqwater.com.au to download the paper, register for the workshops and take the online survey. Public consultation for Hinze Dam will close on 23 July 2014.

Seqwater is responsible for providing a secure and reliable water supply to more than 3 million people across South East Queensland and is the only metropolitan drinking water provider in Australia that manages ‘open’ catchments, allowing the community to enjoy lakes and catchment land for recreation, while ensuring quality bulk drinking water supply for South East Queensland. Up to 2.6 million people a year visit Seqwater recreational facilities for anything from picnics, camping and fishing, to weddings and sporting events.

If you know of anyone else who might be interested in taking part in this recreation review please feel free to forward this information on.

Please email recreationreview@seqwater.com.au should you have any questions.
