Hi again.OK,so my son and I tried O'Reillys Weir(lowood side) about 1230 today.Tried spinners, soft plastics but no luck. There was no water running though.Gave up there after a while & tried Lindemans Rd using samelures.Tried different colours and types with not a bite.

O'Reilly's Weir I probably wouldn't bother with unless there's been a flow recently to entice the fish to swim up from the creek below.
The river at Lindemann's Rd? Well that's just fishing, there's never a guarantee. Heck I'd have given up long ago if I'd had a few fishless days. Really to fish the river best, you need to be on the water casting back towards the edge; much easier to cover country and get into those places you just cant get to from the edge.
Bass aren't the smartest fish going, there pretty easy to fool most of the time if conditions are suitable. Keep trying is all I can say.

Thanks buddy. It was our first outing at both.I didn't realise O'Reillys wasn't a constant flow.I knew we were up against it without it.Unfortunately, we don't have a boat, but we had fun.We will definitely keep trying, i just wanted to check we were doing it right. Cheers.

I was talking to a bloke on Wednesday night who had just fished between the bridges at Twin Bridges and got a Bass and a Spangled Perch on lures.
