First 50+ for the season
« on: October 23, 2012, 08:47:58 PM »
UBK and I thought we would try something different,
we put in late arvo for a short session to see if we could get some bigger Bass.
With UBK second cast he landed a good Bass on the surface :OMG we thought we were in for a good arvo then nothing for about half an hour.
Moved up river a bit further for a look and there it was my first good Bass for the season it went 53cm on the matt good to get a big one again.
From here I managed 3 more good Bass UBK had no more luck before we called it a night.

Photo angles do make a difference.  Look at all the fishing mags.....  Hold the fish approx at arms length and it looks massive.  I have heaps of pics of bass that just don't look their size.  Anywho nice fish mate.

Dino your fish never look small because there are always on a truth mat and making me jealous :P

I have never caught a Bass  , but I am thinking they are like our Jungle Perch ? seems to be the same style of fishing , what type of rod do you guys like to fish for them , the reason I ask is I build rods ,

Gladiator cape Yorker 8-10kg with an Alphas typeR or Chronarch. Use them off the kayak for both bass and cod.
