Rigging areas to be established at Hinze Dam
19/12/14 - Seqwater communication

As a direct result of feedback we received during the recreation review, a rigging/de-rigging area will be established at the Eastern and Western Boat Ramps at Hinze Dam.

The rigging areas will be created to allow boat users to prepare their craft prior to entering and exiting the lake. This will assist in easing congestion on the ramps during peak periods. Please do not park in these dedicated rigging areas.

We hope you enjoy exploring the lake over the Christmas holidays! A reminder that only electric powered boats and paddle craft are permitted on Hinze Dam. And don’t forget that a fishing permit is also required - contact the Hinze Dam Fish Management Committee to purchase your permit.
